Personality: Quiet, introverted, logical and objective. Somewhat eccentric and very geeky. Forms few but close friendships. Gets nervous around new ponies, and will either clam up completely or ramble on aimlessly. Talent is engineering and problem solving. His enthusiasm for his work is rivaled only by his love of books and his friends. Polite and gives others the benefit of the doubt, but can be arrogant in scientific matters. Avoids discussing his past. Has a bad habit of zoning out while walking and ending up anywhere but the place he was headed.

Other Info: Missing left wing. Wears cybernetic replacement of own design. Does not discuss how it was lost. First came to town the morning after a meteor shower. Since then he has established his home and laboratory just outside Ponyville, and can often be found around the library or reading in one of the quieter parts of town. Some call him the "Silent Machinist."

Personality: Social, he tends to know who everyone is. But paranoid, believes deeply that there is that one pony somewhere in the world who is out to kill him. Hard to earn his trust because of that.

Other info: Fairly new to the town, Agoderm moved from The Neighterlands. Always outside, conversing with the locals, Agoderm tends to make his livelihood off trading in information, gossip, all the local rumors.

The initial template I used in designing him was based off another pony character I used on a different pony RP forum. Because of the plot that one used, and some other things, they're different. This character is based off the same one, but I guess you could say an alternate reality. Based off the same character, but instead of everything happening to the other one, none of that happened and this is an entirely different version of it. Thought it'd be interesting to see how each individual character differentiates and grows based on the community.

Personality: Daydreamer, only focuses when he really needs to, but very kind. He tends to zone out when working on his next ideas.
Talent: He creates Art and designs for strange thing using his magic, usualy it revolves around his imagination. He makes a living as making animated art exhibits where ever he goes, he also tends to, when he can focus, rent his time to shops to make animated advertisements.
Background: Never really cared for his Cutie mark or studies... he actually got his Cutie Mark at a young Age, didn't realize it, but it just rolled into his carrer with moving art and advertisements, he is also good at creating pictures as people discribe them to him, so he is occasionaly hired as a sketch artist for law enforment.
Note: He also usualy have a custom Dark Grey(as apposed to his blue gry) Fedora on his head with a hole in it for his horn and a vest of the same color that doesn't cover his cutie mark and is buttoned in the front =D

Personality: Kind, gentle, good-natured, and strong-willed, Haru has all the potential to be a great young stallion, but lacks the self-confidence and focus to reach that potential. Being the younger brother of one of the youngest colts to ever become part of Princess Celestia's guards, Haru often tries to break free of his brother's shadow, yet is afraid of having to stand on his own. Quiet, shy, and often very submissive to the wills of others around him, Haru often wonders how he'll ever be able to stand on his own. Even though he's a naturally talented magician, and has formidable training in self-defense from his brother, his own self-doubt often blinds him even to these gifts unless he sees one of his friends being threatened. When he has to protect them, he can call upon massive amounts of courage and resolve to protect them.

Carries a wooden sword named Bontenmaru slung across his back at almost all times, which he can use to fight when he has to. The sword itself is actually capable of transforming into a myriad of different forms, though Haru uses it in either a katana, greatsword, or spear form.

Openly Bi, will flirt with any pony who catches his eye.

Personality: Oof...
Plum Blossom is an incredibly lively pony, and she is very easily fascinated by the world around her. She is an eager listener, and will virtually believe anything she is told. This makes her quite gullible and prone to being a prank victim, but her incapability to be negative means she usually just laughs at herself too. Annoying, in several ways. She's incredibly curious, and has been frequently pushing her boundaries to escape the main town and frolic in the great outdoors. Her lack of a cutie mark follow the fact she's incredibly indecisive, and gets bored of talents and tasks very easily. She loves trying new things, so it's hard for her to settle down and find something she's uniquely good at. Being an only-pony, she craves attention, and literally pounces on any pony who is unfortunate enough to look unoccupied in front of her. Her love of friends and attention means she's very loyal, but you could also interpret her as being a little too clingy sometimes..

Talents, Skills: VERY strong. Very hard worker. He can also connect with people on a personal level easily, and he can very quickly makes friends.

Likes: The Motherland, egalitarianism, Communism, working hard to benefit all, being a leader, giving advice and comfort, walking in nature, singing the Hymn of the USSR, standing tall and proud.

Dislikes: Grandeur, weakness, laziness, Capitalism, Fascism, royalty, nobility, divinity, oppression.

Character Personality: Communalistic and selfless, a solid and reliable friend. Views everyone as equal, calls everyone he meets 'comrade'. He is tough-as-nails, but also not afraid to show his sensitive side, because he is a sensitive pony. He is very passionate and loving, and if he cares about you, you'll know it (remind him not to hug you too hard if you don't have a robust build). He greatly distrusts anything to do with royalty or nobility, and he makes this distrust perfectly clear. However, with enough evidence to show that they care, he can warm up to them.

Bio: Born in Leningrad, Nikolai Chernokov had great national pride as a Soviet from an early age. He was present at every parade in Red Square, and he always led the band in singing their national anthem. When he was older, he joined the Red Army, and it was there that he could show his pride as a defender of the Motherland and her ideals. He never refused to help anyone, always sacrificing if he had to in order to help a comrade in need. Everyone else would do the same as well if he was in trouble, and from this he developed a very deep feeling of community and comradeship, and he adheres strictly to the idea that if you put others before yourself, it will benefit everyone, including you, in the end.

During a rally of middle school students who belonged to an organization that supported Fascism, Nikolai's unit accompanied a brigade of KGB officers to break it up. The Commissar, who was violent and corrupt, ordered Nikolai to kill them. Nikolai refused, saying that while he would break up the rally and arrest those in it, he would never kill a young comrade. For this, the Commissar turned the entire Soviet government against him and sought to have him executed. Before this went through, Nikolai fled. He is now a sad wanderer, trying to find a life elsewhere, but deep inside still aching for his Motherland.

Personality: Intelligence is perhaps the most distinct trait to pick out in his mental personality, holding one of the highest IQ's in England. Having studied at a private academy for the best education, he specialised in philosophy, science and logic. True his decision to engage in deep external subjects such has left him incredibly smart in philosophy, history, science, maths, economics, politics etc, this is not the case with wisdom. Despite having the intelligence, Shadow can prove to be rather reckless and naive, reflecting a lack of wisdom. He can form a genius and well thought out logical plan, yet it can be as crazy and daring as it is intelligent. Sadly, he may have all the knowledge in theories, yet he lacks the life experience. Though every pony learns to recognize that if they need the brains and answers to a problem, they would go to him.

Moving away from his vast knowledge, Shadow is indeed as wild and adventurous as Rainbow Dash, as stated above. Though a major flaw he encounters is over thinking a problem, especially when his downfall is a lack of experience. Deep down is the problem that he may be seen as too pessimistic, rather wanting to be right than happy. It's not that he deliberately sees the glass half empty, rather he tries to be a realist, even if that means his perspective is what others believe to be pessmisitc. On the surface he does not express much emotion toward others, rather keeping his portrait as a knowledgable philosopher or a political idealist with some crazy and exciting plans to maybe become a pirate king or open a portal to another dimension. Though deep down, he can be quite emotional having not had many close friends nor lovers; and it's a side that is very rare to see, perhaps only revealed in privacy with the most trusting friends.

Yes another part to mention is his wild and crazy schemes he has every so often. Yet besides a goal to be a detective or to be king of the pirates, his most notorious aspiration is to one day reach the political career and help govern Equestria. Shadow also comes from a long origin of a British background (And some Irish in there too) Yes, he talks with a strong well mannered British accent and will sometimes slip in the stereotypical British terms and to top that up, he tends to be as well mannered and polite as he can, though may ease down when he gets friendlier toward a new pony. His cutie mark is a shadow bat, as will be explained under 'abilities'. With the use of his horn for magical purposes, he was trained in the arts of shadow magic. Most ponies would tend to think of this English pony as rather dark and sinister, fearing him and refusing to get to know him. Though he is well aware that his power and first looks may cause fear he has not much care for that. It's those rare ponies that get to know him, which he appreciates, despite the fact that he can potentially be a touch cookie to befriend.

Abilities: His special magic grants Shadow the abilities to manifest and control shadows as tangible forms. He is able to draw shadow from a two dimensional surface as a black semi-liquid silhouette being under his control and subject to have its shape reformed. In sacrifice to his unique power, he cannot perform universal magic like all other magical using ponies. Below is a list of some techniques he had learned:


Shadow Doppleman
Shadow Thrill separates from his own shadow and creates a dark-silhouette figure, his very own shadow clone. The clone is then used for many purposes such as the scenario of when he is in danger and has to engage in combat. Shadow is also able to swap places with his shadow at will, making it fairly hard to hit Shadow when he suspects it.

Shadow Warrior
When Shadow Thrill detaches the shadow of another pony, the shadow gains its independence from its original body. The shadow instantly becomes loyal to Shadow and allows itself to be manipulated. It acts in the same way as a shadow clone, though taking the form of another pony. Shadow will mostly use the shadows to do what he wants or fight for him, as a clone and with the mannerisms style of their former body they were attached to.

Shade Bat
Shadow can turn his shadow and the shadows around him into a myriad of balls. The balls then turn into a swarm of bats which can be used to for any means which require a swarm. Yes they can even bite when told, but rest assure, they do not drink blood. At will, Shadow can revert them back to their original shadows.

Shadow Teleportation
Shadow is able to appear in other shadowy areas at will, so long as it is in his sight or where his doppelgänger is. As long as there is a shadow and absence of light, Shadow Thrill can appear there. Though in order to teleport to another shadow area, Shadow must first enter another shadowed area. He mostly combines this ability when he wishes to switch positions with his shadow clone.

Shadow Claw
Shadow creates the shadow manifestation of a claw. The shadow claw appears to take a semi-physical form and can be enlargened by Shadow. Once ready the hand makes several slash attack on enemies. Though Shadow only uses this for defensive purposes.

Shadow Ball
Shadow performs this by thrusting himself forward and keeping his horn stiff to draw in the shadows which build up just in front of Shadow's horn. With the more shadow drawn, a shadow ball expands and can be thrown at any time. Once thrown it is manipulated by Shadow Thrill by changing the direction of his horn via head movements. He can change the directions of the ball, as long as he remains concentrated. The ball can hit objects and enemies several times, with somewhat of a solid physical form. Though the shadow ball can also explode at will, causing a liquidated dark purple splash damage around.

Despite all this, the shadow magic is based on the use for destructive combat rather than helpful domestic spells. This leaves Shadow to sometimes be reluctant to use any of his own magic as it could put others in danger. Though he may at times use them for helpful means.


History: Born to an upper middle class family in England, Shadow had the special gift of gaining a horn and thus held innate magic. Unlike normal magic though, he was incapable of doing the universal tricks others could do, instead having only the ability to manipulate shadows. Some debated weather this was a curse or a new talent, nevertheless he was taught how to use his powers at an early stage. His quick thinking and knowledgeable studies advanced him to a special academy with one of the finest educational institutions in England. Taking his intensive studying at ease, he never really knew what he wanted to become in life, though he did have a happy picture of him one day becoming a member of the government to rule along side Princess Celestia.

At some point in his early teenage stage, Shadow had met up with a travelling pony, the notorious red-maned Nova. Well known for having known Princess Celestia since a child and being a close friend. During this time, Shadow's mane had not been dark red but black. When he met Nova, he was fascinated by his tales of adventure with his friends and Princess Celestia, having known her since a child. Shadow quickly became to grow fond of Red-maned Nova, until his idolising was put to the test by a rough pony who had pushed Nova down while sipping his drink. On top of that, Nova and his friends only laughed about it to the thuggish pony. Much to Shadow's dismay, he grew angry at Nova, knowing that he could easily take that brutal pony down as empirical observation shows. Though Nova taught him a valuable lesson "Some fights just aren't worth fighting for." Something Shadow never learned from the books and never heaved for now, he later approached the horrible pony as he left and challenged him.

Losing at his first fight, the cruel pony had taken Shadow to the sea and dumped him in the water. Unable to swim and about to sink down to his watery grave, the best Shadow could do was struggle. On top of that, a blood thirsty shark was also ready to make Shadow its meal. As soon as its jaws clamped down, Shadow noticed he had been lifted into the air, being saved by Nova. The pegasus pony Nova had taken his flight one last time, before crashing back onto the ground with Shadow. Upon the crash, he was horrified to see Nova's right wing now missing from when he had saved Shadow from the shark. The first time, Shadow had felt emotionally broken, the best he could do was try and hold back his tears which just kept rolling down his face from his eyes.

A few weeks later and Nova takes his leave to travel around with his friends some more. Upon the dock, Shadow watched and gave his last farewell. Nova promised that they would one day meet again once he becomes a great pony and with one last smile he left England to journey back into the horizon. Immediately, Shadow would return home and dye his hair in an attempt to mimic red-maned Nova, idolising him as the greatest pony ever. Years later, and to his parent's dismay, Shadow abandoned his studies at school and took a raft out to sea. His new destination, to go out and experience the world for himself at Equestria. No more did he take interest in the books to teach him. Alone on his raft, he floated through that same horizon Nova once did, one day to become a brilliant pony just like Nova.

Bio:
Ratchet was the son of a repairman, of all things, often going out and about fixing household appliances. when his father was away, he was left to his own devices and usually spent time with other colts and fillies. Unfortunately, the group of rascals found they had the most fun just causing trouble. Valdalism, stealing, verbal harrassment, bullying, things of that nature. Growing up, he thought he was the toughest, baddest pony on the block and everyone should know it.

By the time he got his cutie mark, he and his ragtag friends had already formed a gang of sorts. He revieved his mark for continueing his father's work, becoming quite interested in seeing what makes things tick, and how they could be made better. His big bragging point was that he could fix almost anything- a claim he often lived up to. After a time of troublemaking, they had heard about Nightmare Moon and the prophesy of her bringing about 1000 years of darkness. The gang quickly changed their name from the Cobalt Bandits to Nightmare's Disciples, wanting to approach the woman and offer their loyalty. they felt she was unstoppable, and it was better to join the winning team! However, by the time they found her, she had already been beaten by the Elements of Harmony and reverted back to Princess Luna.

The majority of the gang felt Luna was just a pushover and no longer worthy of being followed. Though Arc still looked up to her. He thought it was a very powerful display of good triumphing over evil and felt that the princess wanting to make amends for her actions as nightmare Moon was very noble and respectable.

From then on, Arc left the gang and vowed to turn his life around for the better. Rather than erase the markings on his legs and throw away the jacket, he feels it would be better if he kept his image, thinking that hiding what he was in the past wouldn't give him much in the way of redemption. He didn't interact much with the local populace, but through careful observation taught himself how to be 'nice', 'kind', and 'caring'. It was quite the adjustment to him, but he found that he liked havig a helpful lifestyle much much more. After a bit of traveling and revamping himself, he's finally arrived in Ponyville, and hopes to do some good, and make a new group of friends that might be a better influence on him.


Other markings/accessories:
-Tattoos?: Obviously not. However along his front legs he has patterns of a dragon snaking up from his hooves to his shoulders, the gaps filled in with dark clouds and a purple rainbow. The head of this dragon is actually the head of Nightmare Moon, rather than a dragon. He calls them 'tattoos', but they're just drawings that were dyed on for looks.

-Leather jacket: The Nightmare's Disciples had their own jackets, like most gangs. On the back, their name was in white lettering with the picture of Nightmare Moon's head between the two words.


Personality:
Despite being a former trouble-maker and still carrying his intimidating appearance, Arc is very serious about leaving the Disciples behind and turning his life around. He's approachable, helpful, and has a very good sense of humor.


Strengths:
-Very knowledgeable in repairs, be they electrical, mechanical, or anything!

-His upbeat attitude makes it hard to keep him down

-Quite fast. He thinks he could give Rainbow Dash a run for her money, but he probably can't.


Weaknesses:
-Muffins. Yes, muffins. They distract him, being very fond of them as they were a favorite treat of his as a colt. If one were to bait a trap with a muffin, he would go for it every time.

-Crying: He hates seeing people cry. Because they make him cry. For him, crying is contagious. It was something he was either picked on or adored for when he was with the Disciples.

-Princess Luna: When she was Nightmare Moon, she was a leader to him, though as Princess Luna, she's become more of a crush. He gets nervous around her and can't speak more than a couple of squeaks and giggles.


Other info:
Hopes to open up a repair shop in Ponyville to help get some honest money back in his pockets and help the comminuty the only way he knows how.

[Kind Shadow]

Name: Kind Shadow
Race: Earth Pony

Mane Style: Short in the back with long bangs that usually fall over the left side of his face, covering his left eye.
Tail Style: Usually, unkempt.
Eye color: Silver
Cutie Mark: None yet.
Personality: Kind Shadow is very kind, oddly enough. He is a very straight forward and decent fellow. He genuinely loves doing the right thing, and helping others, but there is not much he can actually do. He is a bit reserved and can seem introverted at times, but he is not a shy pony. He prefers to listen, rather than talk, and sometimes over thinks things. Personally, he enjoys quiet rest and reflection as opposed to active play. He has a unique way of thinking and tends to move to the beat of his own drum, although the tempo seems to be a bit slow.
Other info: He doesn't actually play drums.
