Stepping into the reality of RP

Hello everypony, I'm Dreamcloud, a (mostly) average pegasus pony. I usually don't talk much, except when necessary; Its not that I'm unfriendly, I'm just careful about what I say because I don't want to let something slip that I'll regret down the line.

When I'm off work, I spend most of my time reading and listening to music; and if I have a good idea, I'll start writing my own stories and songs. (Although, Its rare that I actually finish a project because I'm so critical of my own work.) If I'm not doing that, I'll be playing some video games or be on the internet. I guess you could call me an intellectual type.

I've never actually Role-Played before, so this will be a new experience for me. hopefully I won't mess anything up.

Nice to meetcha! Don't worry about being new to role play, you gotta start somewhere. Judging by your grammar and coherency of your writing, you're gonna be just fine.

I'm not great at teaching people, so I guess my only advice for good role play right now is always make the effort to actively avoid god-modding. If you're not familiar with the term, it basically means making your character win when they normally wouldn't, be infallible, control others actions, ect. Even if it's not a habit, mistakes can be made but I'm sure no one will be hard on you for it. Basically, don't be a jerk. ;D I'm sure you'll be fine.

Yeah, like bluebreeze says, don't worry about it. We've all had our first time and made mistakes when it came to rp forums.
